What we fix

If your awning's had it, we've seen it.

Fabric, arms, springs, or motor: manual or electric, every RV awning problem diagnosed on-site and fixed same-day when we can.

Torn or faded fabric

Sun-rotted, ripped, or stretched fabric, we replace it in the color and length that fits your rig.

Won't open or close

Electric awning silent or humming without moving, a motor, switch, or control-board fault we trace on-site.

Bent or seized arms

Arms that won't fold, bind, or got tweaked by wind, straightened or replaced so it rolls true.

Won't retract (manual)

Spring tension gone, or a manual awning that won't roll up tight, repaired so it travels safe.

Wind or storm damage

A gust can fold an awning in seconds. We assess fabric, arms, and mounts and document it if it's a claim.

Sags and pools water

A drooping awning that collects water strains the arms and mounts. We re-tension and correct the pitch.

Seeing something that's not on the list? We've almost certainly fixed it before.

Good to know

RV awnings, explained.

Repair the fabric, or replace the whole awning?

It usually comes down to the arms and the roller, not the fabric. If the arms, springs, and motor are sound and only the fabric is sun-rotted or torn, new fabric is the cheaper fix and we can match your length and color. If the arms are bent, the roller's damaged, or the mechanism is worn out, replacing the whole awning is the smarter money: you're not fitting new fabric to failing hardware. We'll tell you honestly which one your awning needs once we see it.

Manual vs. electric awnings: what to know

Manual awnings are simple, cheap, and have almost nothing to break, but you crank them out and in by hand, and they don't retract themselves when the weather turns. Electric awnings roll out at the push of a button and many add wind sensors that auto-retract in a gust, but there's a motor and control board that can fail. If you're replacing an awning anyway, a manual-to-electric upgrade is a popular one, and we install both. Whichever you run, the golden rule is the same: never leave it out in wind or when you're away.

Why sun and wind are hard on awnings

Two things kill RV awnings: UV and wind. Relentless sun bakes the fabric until it fades, stiffens, and tears at the seams, and it dries out the arm springs. Wind is faster and meaner: a single gust can fold an arm or shred fabric in seconds, which is why an awning left out unattended is the most common awning claim we see. Roll it in when you leave the site or when weather's coming, rinse the fabric now and then, and have sun-worn fabric replaced before it fails on its own. When wind does get it, we document the damage for your insurer.

I was caught in a jam at the KOA campground in St. Petersburg when my air conditioner unit was throwing a faulty code. After calling multiple people, Jared assured me he would be there as soon as possible to help since it was so hot outside. Jared showed up within 20 minutes of the call and had the issue fixed in less than that. He was professional, knowledgeable, and was fair with his pricing!
