What we fix

If there's no hot water, we'll find out why.

Gas, electric, or combo (tank or tankless, Suburban or Atwood): every RV water heater fault diagnosed on-site and fixed same-day when we can.

No hot water at all

Cold at every tap, a failed element, thermostat, gas valve, or tripped reset, traced from the tap to the tank.

Won't ignite on gas

Clicks but won't light, or lights and drops out, a burner, igniter, thermocouple, or gas-valve fault.

No heat on electric

The electric side's dead, usually a burned-out element, a bad thermostat, or a tripped high-limit reset.

Leaking tank or lines

Water under the heater or at the fittings, a cracked tank, a failed drain plug, or a loose connection.

Rusty or smelly hot water

Discolored or rotten-egg hot water usually means a spent anode rod, a cheap swap that saves the tank.

Stuck in bypass

Left in bypass after winterizing, or a seized bypass valve, no hot water until it's cleared.

Seeing something that's not on the list? We've almost certainly fixed it before.

What's included

Two ways we keep the hot water coming.

Repair & Service

Hot water back, usually the same day.

Gas, electric, or combo, we diagnose the real fault (element, thermostat, igniter, gas valve, anode, or bypass) and repair it on-site, plus flush and service the tank while we're there.

  • Element & thermostat replacement
  • Burner, igniter & gas-valve service
  • Anode rod & tank flush
  • Bypass valve & winterization fixes
Replace & Tankless Upgrade

Old tank done? Consider going tankless.

When a tank's cracked or rusted through, we replace it, or upgrade you to an on-demand tankless heater for endless hot water and less weight. We'll walk you through the trade-offs before you spend.

  • Tank water heater replacement
  • Tankless / on-demand upgrades
  • Suburban, Atwood, Dometic & Girard
  • Gas, electric & combo units

Good to know

RV water heaters, explained.

Why you have no hot water (gas vs. electric)

Most RV water heaters run two ways (propane and 120-volt electric), and knowing which side failed points straight at the fix. If the electric side is dead, it's almost always a burned-out heating element, a bad thermostat, or a tripped high-limit reset button. If the gas side won't work, it's usually the igniter, the thermocouple, or the gas valve: the burner clicks but won't stay lit. Many owners never realize one side quit because the other keeps making hot water. We test both, so you leave with everything working, not just the half you noticed.

The anode rod: the cheap part that saves your tank

Suburban (and some Dometic) steel tanks have a sacrificial anode rod: a soft metal rod that corrodes on purpose so your tank doesn't. When it's used up, the tank starts to rust, the hot water smells like rotten eggs, and eventually it leaks. Swapping the anode rod once a year and flushing the tank is one of the cheapest, highest-value bits of RV maintenance there is. (Atwood tanks are aluminum and use no anode, worth knowing which you have.) If you've got smelly or rusty hot water, that's the rod talking; we'll swap it and flush the tank.

Tank or tankless? What to know before you upgrade

When a tank heater dies, a tankless (on-demand) upgrade is tempting, and often worth it. Tankless gives you effectively endless hot water, saves weight, and frees up the space a 6- or 10-gallon tank takes. The trade-offs: it needs decent water flow and pressure to fire, the temperature can swing if you crack the tap too low, and it costs more up front. For a lot of full-timers it's a clear win; for weekend campers a straight tank replacement is often the smarter money. We install both and we'll tell you which fits how you actually camp.

I was caught in a jam at the KOA campground in St. Petersburg when my air conditioner unit was throwing a faulty code. After calling multiple people, Jared assured me he would be there as soon as possible to help since it was so hot outside. Jared showed up within 20 minutes of the call and had the issue fixed in less than that. He was professional, knowledgeable, and was fair with his pricing!

Frequently asked

Common questions, straight answers.

It depends which side failed. On electric it's usually a burned-out element, a bad thermostat, or a tripped reset. On gas it's the igniter, thermocouple, or gas valve. Many heaters run both ways, so we test both and get everything working, not just the half you noticed.
