What we fix

The chassis work most mobile techs skip.

Trailer brakes, wheel bearings, springs, shackles, and shocks: the running gear that keeps you safe on the highway, serviced at your rig by techs who came up on diesel and heavy trucks.

Weak or grabbing brakes

Trailer brakes that barely stop, pull to one side, or grab, worn shoes, magnets, drums, or a controller issue.

Noisy wheel bearings

Growling, humming, or play in a wheel, bearings that need repacking or replacing before they seize.

Worn springs & shackles

Sagging, cracked leaf springs, worn shackles, and tired equalizers, the #1 trailer suspension failure.

Uneven tire wear

Tires wearing on one edge point straight at alignment, axle, or worn suspension components.

Brake controller / wiring

Brakes that don't respond right often trace to the controller, the breakaway, or corroded brake wiring.

Overdue bearing service

Bearings should be repacked on a schedule. Overdue is how you end up on the shoulder with a smoking hub.

Seeing something that's not on the list? We've almost certainly fixed it before.

Good to know

RV brakes & suspension, explained.

Why we do brakes when most mobile RV techs won't

Trailer brakes, bearings, and suspension are chassis work, and most mobile RV techs (who come from an appliance-and-electrical background) simply don't touch them. Our shop is different: we came up on diesel and heavy trucks, so brake drums, wheel bearings, leaf springs, and axles are familiar ground. That matters, because these are the parts that keep a loaded rig stopping and tracking straight at highway speed, and they wear out slowly and quietly until the day they don't. If a shop told you your RV's brakes or bearings “need a specialist,” that specialist is us, and we come to you.

The running gear that strands rigs on the shoulder

Two failures put more RVs on the shoulder than almost anything else, and both are preventable. Wheel bearings that weren't repacked on schedule overheat, score the spindle, and seize, sometimes taking the hub and brakes with them. And leaf-spring suspension (springs, shackles, equalizers, and bushings) wears out under the constant load of a heavy trailer, then cracks or breaks over rough expansion joints and potholes. Neither gives much warning beyond noise, uneven tire wear, or a sagging corner. A bearing repack and a suspension inspection on a sane schedule is cheap next to a roadside breakdown, and it's exactly the work we're set up to do.

I was caught in a jam at the KOA campground in St. Petersburg when my air conditioner unit was throwing a faulty code. After calling multiple people, Jared assured me he would be there as soon as possible to help since it was so hot outside. Jared showed up within 20 minutes of the call and had the issue fixed in less than that. He was professional, knowledgeable, and was fair with his pricing!

Frequently asked

Common questions, straight answers.

Yes, it's a differentiator for us. Our background is diesel and heavy trucks, so trailer brakes, wheel bearings, leaf springs, and suspension are familiar work most mobile RV techs won't take on. If another shop told you to find a specialist, that's us.
